Shapes are of two kinds.
Open figures.
Open shapes.

The letters C, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z are examples of open shapes.
Closed figures.
Closed shapes.
The letters B, D, O, P are examples of closed shapes.
A is also open.
An angle which is made up of two rays forms an open shape.

It takes at least three sides to make a closed shape.
Any closed shape with a certain number of sides is a polygon.
A polygon has more than two sides.
At least three
Triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon are all polygons with 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 sides respectively.
A polygon with countless sides is called a circle.

Squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses, trapeziums are different types of quadrilaterals.

Line, line segment, ray, angle, vertex, vertices, sides are terms used in geometry.

In a triangle, if all the sides are equal, it is called an equilateral triangle.
Suppose, in a triangle, two sides are equal and the other is different. It is called an isosceles triangle.
Suppose, in a triangle, no two sides are equal; all are different. It is called a scalene triangle.

A triangle has three sides and three angles.

Suppose, one of the three angles in a triangle is 90 degrees. It is called a right triangle.
Suppose, one of the three angles in a triangle is an obtuse angle (more than 90 degrees). It is called an obtuse triangle.
Suppose, all the three angle s in a triangle are acute (less than 90 degrees). It is called an acute triangle.
In an equilateral triangle, since all the sides are equal, all the three angles will be equal. Each will be 60 degrees.

Writing

Task: Write a few sentences on what you know about Iditarods, sledges, Alaskan huskies and mushers.

Response

The Iditarod is a sled-dog race across Alaska. Mushers are people who enter the Iditarod with there team. The race begins from Aarchorage to Nome.
Anchorage
not Aarchorage
those mushers are Alaskan husscis.
Suggested

Sledges are carriages. They are drawn by dogs. Alaskan huskies are strong dogs. So they are used to draw sledges. People who drive sledges are called mushers. A race between sledges is called an Iditarod. It is an annual event. It is famous in Alaska.
