Now, let's imagine vertical lines on the earth.
We'll imagine 180 such lines in the eastern hemisphere and another 180 in the western hemisphere.
We called the horizontal lines latitudes. Now, these vertical lines are going to be called longitudes.
How many longitudes have we imagined? 180 + 180 + prime meridian, total 361
Each longitude sees the sunrise at a different point of time.
Between two longitudes the time difference is 4 minutes.
I am on 82nd longitude in the eastern hemisphere.
You are on 74th longitude in the western hemisphere.
How many longitudes are there between us? 82+74 = 156
For 156 longitudes, the time difference between us will be 156*4 = 624 minutes.
That is about 10 and a half hours.
